R U OKAY?
Three simple words could mean all the difference and save a life. When things get rough it is important to check in with the people around us and start a conversation.

Many of our clients have sustained injuries and will often find themselves in a position where they are not able to do the things they used to. This can be devastating for clients who are restricted by their injuries and can no longer chase after their children or play footy with friends. It is not uncommon to become withdrawn, lose interest in things you used to enjoy, feel like a burden or just generally be concerned about the future.

As lawyers, we can help our clients get in touch with the appropriate services that can help. We can always have a nonjudgmental conversation about how you are going and put you in touch with the right people.

On 12 September 2019, it is “R U OKAY” Day. So remember to look out for the signs, trust your gut and ask “Are you OK?”.

You are not alone. For support at anytime, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467. If life is in danger, call 000.
